UK spouse Visa 2022 as the name implies is for people who are ready to tie the knot in their relationships this year in the UK. Who Can Apply

  • Foreign citizens of the UK that have settled i.e have a permanent residence in the U.K.
  • Possesses refugee or humanitarian protection in the U.K.
  • Has Turkish business personnel or worker visa.
  • British or Irish citizen.

To apply for this you must intend to stay in the U.K if all goes well. You must also be to show proof of a relationship with your spouse for over two years especially if you’re applying for an unmarried partner visa.

Requirements

This is basically categorized into four;

Relationship

We’ve already talked about the first one; Proof of Genuine relationship with spouse.

  • Can boast of a civil marriage that is legally recognizable in the UK.
  • Have been living together in a relationship for at least 2 years.
  • Plans to get married or enter into a civil relationship within 6 months of arriving in the UK.

  • Pass an English Language test. It’s a simple Common European Framework of Reference for Languages English test you need to pass from an approved testing center. It’s a level A1 test, you might need to scale through a level A2 test in the future to extend your stay.

Before you start. Check your eligibility status for a partner and spouse visa.

  1. Prepare all necessary documents listed above and any other ones that might be further requested of you.
