The Bengaluru Central Crime Department (CCB) has arrested two Nigerian nationals in separate operations and seized medication valued round Rs 65 lakh (N34,215,647.98) from them.
The suspects recognized as Joseph Ndukwe Okafor, 38, and Uzochukwu Markmaurice Mbatuegwu, 38, had been arrested on Wednesday, March 17, after police acquired a tip off from one other drug peddler who was arrested a while in the past.
The CCB claimed that Okafor was carrying round 65 grammes of cocaine, 50 Ecstasy tablets and 56 LSD strips valued round Rs 15 lakh, whereas Uzochukwu was carrying 650 grammes of cocaine, 91 Ecstasy tablets and 56 LSD strips valued round Rs 50 lakh.
Police alleged that Okafor used to obtain medication from Ushman aka Moosa aka Ichie and offered them to children and techies.
Okafor was arrested close to Jakkur in Yelahanka suburb, whereas Uzochukwu was arrested from Amrutahalli close to Byatarayanapura suburb.
“Each of them have grossly violated visa norms by operating an unlawful medication racket in a bunch nation. Due to this fact we have now booked them below varied provisions of the Narcotic Medicine and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 and the Foreigners Act,” the police stated.
