Three members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) have been remanded in a correctional centre for alleged arson and homicide whereas effecting the arrest of alleged Ibarapa kidnap kingpin, Iskilu Wakili.
The OPC members recognized as Awodele Adedigba, 45; Dauda Kazeem , 38, and Hassan Ramon, 33. have been arraigned on three counts of conspiracy, homicide and arson.
Prosecution counsel, Insp Opeyemi Olagunju informed the court docket that the suspects on March 7, at about 8am allegedly prompted the loss of life of a 45-year-old lady at Kajola village in Ayete neighborhood of Oyo state. They have been additionally accused of setting the home on hearth, inflicting a harm of N5 million.
Olagunju acknowledged that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 316, 324, 443 and 516 of the Legal Code of Oyo State 2000.
Chief Justice of the Peace, Mr Olaide Hamzat who didn’t take the plea of the suspects for need in jurisdiction, ordered that they be remanded in Abolongo Correctional facility, Oyo city.
