Insecurity: Sokoto Approves Merger Of Boarding Schools In Border Towns

Sokoto State Authorities has introduced the merger of boarding faculties alongside the border of the State.

The merger took impact from Friday, January 8, 2021.

Accordingly, pupils of Authorities Boarding Main Colleges in Balle, Isa, and Jabo are to return to their respective faculties for continuation of courses.

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal gave the approval for the merger in a press release by the PRO the State Ministry for Primary and Secondary Training, Malam Nura Bello Maikwanci.

Within the assertion, the Governor acknowledged that faculties have been merged with different boarding faculties situated in additional secured cities.

Affected by the event included; GSS Kebbe moved to GSS Sanyinna, Sultan Muhammadu Tambari Illela to GSS Gwadabawa, GSS S/Birnin Gobir to Sani Dangyadi Unit Secondary College, Farfaru.

Additionally, Authorities Women Secondary College Illela will transfer to HABMASS, Sokoto, UBEC S/Birnin Gobir to HABMASS, Sokoto, GGC Rabah to Authorities Women Unity Secondary College Bodinga, GSS Gada to GSS Kware, GSS Gandi to GSS Wurno.

Others are: GSS Goronyo to GSS Wurno, GSS Tureta to Sultan Abubakar School, Sokoto, GSS Isa to STC, Sokoto whereas GTC Binji to ABA, Farfaru and OOTC Bafarawa to GTC, Farfaru accordingly.
