5 Best Movies to See on Netflix Now

As usual, I’m not going to be listing the most-watched, or most popular. The list is gonna contain unique interesting movies that almost everyone has failed to notice.

The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo

I think you might have noticed in 5 Best TV Shows to Watch Now; Yeah, I’m a huge fan of detective movies and this is one of the best.

The second adaption of Stieg Larrson’s 2005 novel, David Fincher’s The Girl with the Drago Tatoo is extremely volatile. The most recent James Bond character (Daniel Craig) features in this one in different not-so-violent energy but rather as a man with brains who have been humbled by life.

Mikael Blomkvist; an investigative journalist is aided by Lisabeth Salander (Rooney Mara); a female hacker. This lady whose features describe the movie to help a wealthy industrialist solve the case of his niece’s disappearance for over forty years.

The Mask

This has to be one of Jim Carrey’s best performances in a movie, top-notch comedy as you always expect from him. If you had a bad day and you’re just looking for a movie to lift your spirit, this is the one for you.

Stanley (Jim Carey), an ordinary bank employee, turns into a unique, irregular, and delirious green-skinned superhero. His powers are as unbelievable as his costume as he can bend reality, and give the best stage performance ever.

This power is gotten from a Mask created by the Norse god of mischief; Loki and some very mean people want the mask for themselves.

Papillon

In most “Prison Break” based movie, the prisoner always escapes and there’s a happy ending with the prisoner getting to live his life after the torment of being in a prison. Oh, no no no, not this one, Does he escape, guess you’d have to find out yourself.

Henri Charriere (Charlie Hunnam), a young man falsely convicted of murder is sent to a prison worst than anything you’ve ever seen. In an attempt to escape with his partner Louis Dega (Rami Malek) things get worse and his penalties are multiplied in ways that would break any being; even a supernatural one.

Papillon describes how resilient and strong-willed a man can be even under the meanest of ill-treatment.

The Kill Team

Yay, finally some guns and fighting, well this movie isn’t all about that either. Yes, there’s a lot of killing and bombing and deaths as there are in action movies but this is different. It’s a military movie.

A young U.S soldier in Afghanistan discovers that his new sergeant might be a sadistic trigger happy man after the death of his well-beloved former sergeant. He witnesses the death of innocent civilians under the command of his new sergeants by some new recruits.

What comes first; loyalty to his devious brothers in arms or value and care for human lives. These are some of the events that took place in the Afghanistan war and several other wars the U.S army was involved in, sure you don’t want to find out yourself.

The Tinder Swindler

I know at the beginning of this section, it is written “most people failed to notice” and everyone has noticed this one. However, if you haven’t seen this movie, it’s important you do.

A group of women who were victims of an online dating service scam by a swindler joins forces in an attempt to catch him and recover what was stolen from them. Online scams are the norm of these days and if you’re going to survive in a world filled with things like this; you need basic knowledge of how they work.
