Kwara Govt Shuts Down 10 Schools Over Hijab Controversy In Ilorin

The Kwara State authorities has ordered quick closure of ten colleges in Ilorin over hijab controversy.

This was contained in an announcement signed by the Everlasting Secretary, Ministry of Schooling and Human Capital Growth, Mrs Kemi Adeosun on Friday.

She acknowledged that the faculties would stay closed till there’s a decision on using hijab.

The faculties affected, are C&S School, Sabo Oke; St Anthony School, Offa Street; ECWA College, Oja Iya; Surulere Baptist College, Bishop Smith Secondary College, Agba Dam; St Barnabas Secondary College, Sabo Oke; St John College, Maraba; St Williams Secondary College, Taiwo Isale and James Secondary College, Maraba.
