CJTF commander killed in Boko Haram ambush in Borno

The Commander of the Civilian Joint Activity Pressure (CJTF) in Kukawa Native Authorities Space of Borno, Yusuf Baba Idris was killed when Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) militants attacked a navy convoy.

15 Nigerian troopers and three different CJTF members had been killed whereas 10 sustained accidents within the assault which occurred close to Gudumbali within the Lake Chad area on Thursday, safety sources stated on Saturday, March 13. 

 

“We misplaced 15 troopers and 4 civilian JTF (militia) within the terrorists’ ambush within the forest close to Gudumbali,” a navy officer, who requested to stay nameless, informed AFP.

 

ISWAP claimed duty for the assault on Saturday, in accordance the SITE jihadist monitoring company.

 

The CJTF Commander in Bama confirmed the demise of his colleague in a Fb submit on Saturday, March 13.
