Billionaire Kogi prince, Malik Ado-Ibrahim has called out the State Governors and other politicians who were pictured laughing at a wedding while the burial of Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru, and the 10 military officers who died in a plane crash on Friday was ongoing on.
Governors of Sokoto, Kano, Kebbi, Zamfara, and Gombe states, graced the wedding fatiha of Habibur Rahman Abubakar Malami, son of Minister of Justice and Attorney-General, held at Al-Furqan mosque, Kano, on Saturday, May 22.
Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege along with some Senators were also among high profile politicians at the wedding.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Prince Ado-Ibrahim shared photos from the burial and wedding. He wrote;
“Optics count in Politics and leadership. We see Misplaced priorities of those that were chosen as leaders at a time of war and a pandemic. They prefer a show of Power and pleasure over Patriotism and Prayer on this day,”
“When will they learn? The nation is watching. The people will have the last laugh. While the Nation is in shock at yesterday’s horrible deaths of our brave military men and While we are Praying for our fallen heros today, Some allowed themselves to be pictured as if they were celebrating away. Optics count. Where did we go wrong. We need to Reset Nigeria. God bless Nigeria”
