Bayelsa government bans open grazing, to arrest and prosecute armed herders

Governor Duoye Diri has assented a invoice prohibiting open grazing of livestock in Bayelsa state. 

 

The Livestock Breeding, Rearing and Advertising and marketing Regulation Legislation 2021 was signed into regulation on Wednesday March 10, on the Govt Chamber of Authorities Home, Yenagoa.

 

Diri said that the essence of the regulation is to avert and forestall any conflict between herdsmen, farmers, natives and non-natives as skilled in some states.
